Lecture "The modus operandi of organized crime organizations in Mexico" by Rodrigo Cortina Cortes and prof. Piotr Chomczyński! On May 29th 2022, 14.15 PM at State University of Applied Sciences in Piła.

Rodrigo Cortina Cortes. He studied history at the Colegio de Historia Facultad de Filosofìa y Letras de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. For the past 18 years, he has conducted field research in dangerous districts of Mexico City and other parts of the country (Tepito, Tacubaya, Iztapalapa, Queretaro, Hidalgo, Oaxaca, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Zacatecas, Durango, and Sinaloa). He has observed the lifestyle of individuals involved in criminal activities, including members of organized criminal groups. Since 2015, he has been collaborating with Professor Piotr Chomczyński on his research on organized crime in Mexico. He is a co-author (along with Piotr Chomczyński) of three publications (Journal of Contemporary Ethnography, Global Crime). Currently, he is involved in a research team focused on analyzing the criminal biographies of Latin American residents.
